It's Paris Couture week, and I'm finally excited about a show... But, seriously, usually I'm like waking up in the middle of the night just to be up Paris time to see the shows live. Sadly, this year, there weren't many shows that got me excited. So, I didn't post about them. But, Ralph and Russo........YES.
I really enjoyed the Ralph and Russo show more than any other show this year. Above Chanel, Versace, Elie Saab, etc. My favorite thing about it was how elegant, and COUTURE it was.
These days, I think so many brands want to go with the streetwear, grungy approach, even for couture, and I hate it. Couture is the one the show/collection that can be as ridiculously over the top as possible, but people will still buy it. Ralph and Russo was not, necessarily, ridiculously over the top, but it was very elegant, simplistic, with subtle touches of bright colors, feathers, florals, and a drastic variety of cuts and textures throughout.

Take a look at my favorite (!) looks from Ralph and Russo Spring 2016 Couture.
So in love with this collection!
